# Context Pack: The tool they wished they had

## Personal account and workflow

Nikon talks, friends on the IBC floor, notes between panels, product-page redesign while at the event. Imaginary Tools/creative computer clusters arrange acceleration around brief, taste, sensor truth and handoff. One GrokBot seat holds the brief; graph nodes are jobs, edges are file handoffs. Specialists receive work when its shape is ready. Human retains judgement/publication decision; nothing publishes itself. Files make a contract inspectable, not infallible or an access-control mechanism.

The reported PushingSquares page featured Subtrackt_ and CBA_: film-like colour subtraction and cinema-lens fringe. Six ASCII marks are Crush_, Fuzz_, CBA_, Subtrackt_, Refrakt_, Pause_; the widget illustrates marks, not plugin processing. Two IbcPhoto slots sit/stand and IbcLissajous remain. Preserve the Nikon/IBC journal tone and sign-off //A<3 without adding new experiences.

Ari's reported year shooting ZR/R3D motivates keeping useful sensor information and freedom to revise the look. Sensor/render-engine origins are design inputs, not proven format interoperability. ## Candy: all boundaries matter

This is the named design, not a shipped-format claim or plugin catalogue.

- .neg: its own digital-negative file, originating from sensor or render engine; not a sidecar or merely metadata.
- .candy: working file plus science; contains LOCK, TASTE, MIX as modes, not .lock/.taste/.mix files.
- .master: delivery-aware, science retained, not flattened; two-way exchange with .candy.
- .share: flattened foreign handoff, one-way; cannot reconstruct the full working file.
- .wrapper: alterations peeled from .candy for a peer who already holds the .neg files; useless without those negatives, not another negative.

Central relation: .neg → .candy ↔ .master → .share. Wrapper travels separately under the shared-negative prerequisite.

LOCK holds intended colour/look. TASTE represents this observer/display and its mapping. MIX is the slider between intent and observer/display. These are architecture intentions requiring implementation and colour/interoperability checks; file names do not establish preservation by themselves.

Teaching result: identify what must survive each handoff, let jobs carry the labour and keep acceptance/release with the person whose work it is.
