I got further with this MiniMax H3 run when I stopped adding instructions and settled the image first.

Lock the still. Give the shot one action. When it fails, identify the thing to change. Then watch the whole take again.

This is my August 2026 production account. The model names describe that run, not a recommendation based on a current comparison. The retained files let you inspect the examples and their delivery metadata; they do not independently prove which model generated them.

Terra held the chain

I ran the orchestration in Codex and called that session Terra. Its job was to keep the stages connected:

  1. Make the still references with GPT Image 2.
  2. Establish front and rear identity plates for the vehicle.
  3. Give MiniMax H3 a short motion job with a narrow action.
  4. Review the dailies, reject the failures and carry the correction into the next pass.

The result depended on that sequence. A strong frame still needed a motion brief, and a plausible motion result still needed inspection.

I called that delivery 21:9. It is a nominal format label: 2944 × 1248 is 92:39, about 2.359:1, rather than exactly 21:9.

Check the beginning and the end

In this run, H3 worked better when I treated it as a shot-making stage. Strong image references and narrow motion instructions gave me something I could judge.

A pleasing middle frame was not enough. The silhouette could look right while the rear spare disappeared later, or the paint moved away from the intended finish. Check the first frame, the middle and the end of each take, then watch the movement between them.

Those are findings from this automotive identity study. They are not a controlled benchmark or a promise that the same instructions will hold every product.

Five raw selects

The five selects each have a job:

  1. Ice wall: inspect the product under cold light.
  2. Glacial river: inspect moving water and body solidity.
  3. Controlled data rupture: keep the front solid while the rear dissolves.
  4. Basalt arches: test the scale of the setting in an ultrawide frame.
  5. Reality exit: inspect the rear geometry and spare through the exit.

These are raw selects from an independent production study. This was not manufacturer work. Music and voiceover experiments were not selected, and there is no finished sound mix here.

Make the correction legible

My first splat attempt asked for too many changes. The camera jumped and the body lost its form.

For the correction, I fixed the camera position and narrowed the transformation to a rear dissolve with the front remaining metal. That gave me a clearer target for the next inspection.

Fix one variable is the working discipline: name the failure, constrain the revision and compare the result. This pair does not establish a laboratory experiment in which only one parameter changed. The revised brief both locks the camera and narrows the action.

What the files establish

The seven retained clips report H.264, 2944 × 1248 and 24 fps, with a duration of about 4.46 seconds each. That confirms the file properties. It does not prove native generation rather than upscaling, or authenticate a model name.

My original account described direct motion-model delivery without an upscale stage. Keep that as the reported process, separately from what the files themselves prove.

The private archive also held a 30-second assembled study. It remains reference only, with music and voiceover unselected. The public examples below are the individual takes.

Walk through the desk and the checks

Here are the references, correction pairs and delivery details from the same run. Use them to follow the decisions, not just the selected frames.

G1 · Conductor

Terra kept the stills, identity plates, motion requests and review together. Each stage had an output for the next stage to inspect.

Settle the composition and give the motion job both sides of the product. A rear reference matters when the shot turns away from the front.

The reported failure combined a camera jump with loss of the body. The revised brief holds the camera and asks for a controlled dissolve at the rear.

G6 · Keep the ultrawide delivery

The composition was built for the wide frame. A smaller delivery needs its own creative decision; an automatic crop can remove part of the intended image.

Verified file properties: H.264, 2944 × 1248, 24 fps. Native generation is not established by metadata.

Lock 1 · Product plates

I used front and rear plates to specify the vehicle across angles. The failed exit below shows why the spare needed its own check. References help define the target; they do not guarantee the generated take preserves it.

The reported GPT Image 2 stage established the setting and light before motion. The ice-wall keyframe gives the first select a still reference to answer to.

Lock 3 · What H3 held under test

My observations from this ultrawide automotive run were:

  • The selected takes held the product silhouette with identity plates in the workflow.
  • Attractive middle frames still needed end-frame checks for the spare and paint.
  • The broad motion request failed; the narrower action brief produced a usable select.

Use these as the checks to repeat on your own subject, rather than treating one run as the capability boundary of the model.

Compare the failed request with the revised target: fixed camera, rear dissolve, solid front. Watch the whole pair. A thumbnail cannot establish whether the movement holds.

The second pair is an identity check. In my review, the failed exit lost the spare and the selected exit retained the rear geometry. Check the beginning, middle and end yourself.

Lock 5 · Keep the delivery contract visible

The retained files confirm 2944 × 1248, 24 fps and H.264. The account calls that nominal 21:9. Keep those concrete values in the handoff; do not turn the format label into proof of native model output.

If you need 16:9, review what the crop removes before accepting it.

This was an independent AI production study, with a reported stills-to-H3-to-review workflow. Several decisions and checks sit between the initial brief and these selects. The files do not represent manufacturer approval, a complete commercial or a finished mix.
